🛡️ Whitelist MUOnline in Your Firewall & Antivirus
Some operating systems and antivirus solutions may mistakenly block MUOnline’s launcher or main client. To prevent connection issues, follow the steps below to add exclusions or firewall allowances.
Windows Firewall
- XP: Start → Run → type
control
→ Windows Firewall → Exceptions tab → Add your MUOnline .exe files. - 7: Control Panel → System & Security → Allow a program through Windows Firewall → check MUOnline launcher and main .exe under Private/Public.
- 8: Win+X → Control Panel → System & Security → Allow an app through Windows Firewall → Change Settings → add MUOnline .exe files.
- 10 (11 similar): Settings → Firewall & Network Protection → Allow an app through firewall → Click Change → check MUOnline executables under Private/Public.
Mac OS X Firewall
- Open System Preferences.
- Select Security & Privacy → Firewall tab.
- Unlock settings (admin password), click Firewall Options….
- Click +, add MUOnlines launcher/main executable, then click Add.
- Click OK to save.
Exclusions for Major Antivirus / Security Tools
- Avast: Settings → General → Exclusions → add MUOnline folder or .exe files.
- ESET: Advanced Setup (F5) → Antivirus & antispyware → Exclusions → add folder or executables.
- Avira: Extras → Configuration → PC Protection → Exceptions → add MUOnline files/folder. Also do the same in Real-time protection → Exceptions.
- Bitdefender: Protection → View Features → Settings → Exclusions → add MUOnline folder or launcher/main .exe.
- Malwarebytes: Settings → Malware Exclusions → add MUOnline launcher/main .exe or entire game folder.
- Windows Defender: Virus & Threat Protection → Virus & Threat Settings → Add or Remove Exclusions → add MUOnline .exe or game folder.
- Other Antivirus? In general: look for Settings → Exclusions or Exceptions, then add your MUOnline files or folder.
